1. Check the starting criteria.
The primary working-capital route starts with an LLC or incorporated business, at least six months operating, at least $10,000 average monthly revenue over four months and a $5,000–$500,000 request.
2. Know what the capital is for.
The next inventory order. Operating expenses. A project with costs before customer payments arrive. A clear purpose helps you compare an available offer with the actual business need.
3. Organize the business information.
- Business name and legal structure.
- When the business began operating.
- Recent revenue figures, including the last four monthly totals.
- The requested amount and intended business use.
- Current obligations and the business records requested by the application.
Document requirements vary by product. Follow the application’s checklist for the route you select.
4. Choose your loan type.
Select the relevant product in the application. Working capital is the main route here and has no credit check on the application. The other listed loan applications use a soft credit check and have their own requirements.
5. Keep the decision focused on your business.
Review the amount available, total repayment, fees and payment timing before accepting financing terms. Completing the application and qualifying makes you eligible for the first reward without accepting a loan. Additional rewards require signing financing terms and receiving funding. Choose financing for its fit with your business, not for an incentive.
Use the terms checklist for the questions worth asking before you sign.
